Coming 2 America

A Royal Premiere Celebration Fit For a King.

In honor of the premiere of Coming 2 America, we partnered with Amazon Prime Video to create an interactive virtual celebration set in the lush and royal country of Zamunda that honored the filmmakers, talent, and fans, and invited guests new and old to join in on the fandom of this cult classic film storyworld. 

The exclusive screening was hosted in our proprietary state-of-the-art virtual theatre that features 4K picture quality, dolby sound, content security (visual watermarking and multi-DRM), and an interactive chat. Two-thousand guests joined the premiere from over 500 different countries around the world. The fan-centric affair featured an AR-powered ‘Royal Red Carpet’ photobooth and the chat was filled with talent from the film and fans alike, firing off 8,000 messages throughout the event.

For the after-party, fans & show talent were transported to The Royal Palace of Zamunda where they could make drinks with ‘Royal Bartender’ Seth Brundle in The Royal Bar, dance with DJ PZB in the Throne Room, or watch an exclusive concert by The Fela! Band in the Grand Hall. Show stars, including Arsenio Hall and Leslie Jones, had an absolute ball in the chat and special guests like Luenell and Louie Anderson joined for live toasts to the premiere.

Following the live event, we converted the premiere website into an evergreen space for consumers to explore Coming 2 America partnerships, giveaways, behind the scenes, and extended content, which you can view here.

Part 1: Onboarding

Guests were personally invited to the exclusive Premiere and After Party for Coming 2 America. 

On the day of the event, guests logging in were invited to join the Royal Red Carpet by snapping a photo with our AR Photobooth.

Guests were transported to Zamunda where they could interact with the royal bartender in the Royal Bar, jam with DJ PZB in the Throne Room, or watch an exclusive performance by Chop n’ Quench in the Grand Hall.
